Berta A. Daniels is a native of the Boston area, where she attended the Art Institute of Boston, with majors in
Photography and Sculpture. Her fine art photography has been described as theatrical, painterly, spiritually
transformational and richly provocative. As she explores the figure in the landscape, she invites the viewer to
become a co-walker with her and her subject on a journey through light and shadow. Her portraits of people
in nature are empowering as well as beautiful. In exploration of the inner and outer worlds she encourages
her subjects to open themselves to personal transformation through acute connection with the land. Berta's
more commercial work focuses on creating images for the music industry, travel, food and fashion. For more
than fifteen years she has been working as a freelance lifestyle photographer for magazines, books and
other publications as well as corporate and private clients.
