Randi Isaacson opened the Post Road Art Center in 1990.

We are a full-service, custom frame shop.  Randi is a certified picture framer, certified by the Professional Picture Framers Association.  What that means is, your picture will be framed correctly; preserved for years to come!

That is not all!

We offer art classes.

We have a huge selection of fine art supplies at competitive prices and we have a staff with the knowledge to help you find the right products.

We have a gallery featuring local artists.

We offer Fine Art Printing. We can scan or photograph your work and print it on paper or canvas. You can also email or share a file with us for printing.

We carry creative hand-made gifts and jewelry

When we purchased the building in 1990, we were searching for our identity.

After a layer of pink primer, we turned this historical building into a whimsical purple art center!

In 2011 we took down the porch that was being used as an art supply room to add on our beautiful new gallery space.

The beautiful garden beds that surround the art house bloom all year long thanks to the talented gardener and photographer Ed Roche.

The Mona Lisa on the front door was painted by Bruce Collins who was teaching art classes and working in the shop at the time. In 2017 we had to replace the front door because it was getting a bit drafty, so Sue Carlin repainted Mona Lisa.

The house next door was purchased in 2012 and it is now a thriving art school. All of our art classes for kids and adults are held in the art school.
